The Donnas have performed a fair amount of songs since their formation in 1993 as the Electrocutes. Originally a garage band, they’ve come a long way from their humble, self-taught beginnings and revealed their talent as a band to be awed by fans and feared by competitors.

Taking the classic Billy Idol song and infusing it with their own unique energy, The Donnas have created an identity all their own and claimed their own unique version of the song that would do Billy Idol proud (and probably did, since he’s still alive and kicking).

The song is simple; it glorifies the lack of need to have a partner. Who needs one to have fun at a party? All you need is a wild step and a sense for good cheer. The song fits in well with Mean Girls, as it played as the movie’s credits rolled.
